About Us

Surviving the Fog is about finding your way through the moments in life when everything feels… heavy. Hazy. Overwhelming.
It’s for the days when getting out of bed feels like climbing a mountain, when your thoughts feel like soup, and your heart can’t quite name what it needs.
The “fog” looks different for everyone.
For some, it’s postpartum depression. For others, it’s burnout, anxiety, grief, or simply the quiet ache of losing yourself while caring for everyone else.
My
Story
I started Surviving the Fog because I lived it.
There was a time when I smiled on the outside but felt lost on the inside, like I was moving through life with a weight on my chest and cotton in my head. I didn’t always have the words for it, and I didn’t want to explain it. I just wanted someone to get it.
This space was born out of that need for a gentle corner of the internet where we don’t have to pretend we’re okay, where healing can happen slowly, softly, and without shame.
The Mission
This isn’t a self-help site telling you to fix yourself.
This is a space to remind you:
-
You’re not alone in the fog.
-
You’re not broken, you’re tired, stretched thin, or hurting.
-
You’re allowed to move slowly. To rest. To laugh again. To feel lost and still be okay.
-
Here, you’ll find small tools, stories, and reminders to help you keep going, not with pressure, but with kindness.
If you’re in the fog… take a deep breath.
You’ve already made it this far. That means something.
